A leading company is seeking a Merchandiser to cover maternity leave for 12 months. The role requires strong planning and analytical skills to manage inventory effectively and drive sales. Covering maternity leave for 12 months, and working within a Merchandising team of 34, this is a superb role for someone with strong planning and analytical skills. Working with the B&M teams, you will maximise commercial opportunities through the effective management of inventory, whilst driving sales through improved availability, forecasting, and maximising profit.
Day to day, as the key contact for all category analysis, you will provide a weekly summary of performance within your category relating to sales, stock, profit, and markdown versus budget and last year. The role will manage stock intake flow to hit monthly forecasts, drive sales, and minimise risks, working closely with the Merchandising Assistant to control inventory levels, allocations, and ship replenishments.
Partnering with the buying team, you’ll help build and optimise ranges, creating seasonal strategies and forecasts, providing historical analysis to develop forward forecasts. With the Senior Merchandiser, you will update and manage the Open To Buy for your category, whilst assisting with the development of the MA’s.
The role is based in Avonmouth on a hybrid working basis – 2-3 days per week.
Compensation – competitive salary, bonus scheme, pension, 4 x life assurance, healthcare, 25 days leave annually (including Christmas shutdown)
