Job summary

Zizzi Restaurants is seeking an Assistant Manager to help drive our Cardiff restaurant’s success. You will partner with the General Manager, lead shifts when needed, and keep food and service standards relentlessly high.

You’ll mentor and motivate your team, ensuring a warm, “feel-good” hospitality experience for every guest while balancing a busy dining room. This role offers clear development to a General Manager path.

About The Role

As an Assistant Manager, you are a key driver of our restaurant's success. Partnering closely with the General Manager, you will step up to lead the floor, manage shifts, and keep our team inspired during high-volume rushes. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll balance a buzzing dine-in, whilst keeping a sharp eye on food and service standards. If you have the drive to step up and a passion for hospitality, we'll give you the platform to become a future GM.

What you'll be doing

• Step up as the manager in charge in the GM's absence, running seamless shifts and bringing our brand values to life.
• Live and breathe the customer journey, coaching your front of house team to deliver standout, "feel-good" hospitality every day.
• Support team development by giving constructive feedback, building confidence, and keeping team spirit high.
• Take full ownership of the restaurant's "curb appeal", keeping standards and safety spot on.
• Work with the GM to monitor performance, manage the financials, and track service metrics to be "better than yesterday".
