Job summary

FRP Advisory is seeking a proactive Assistant Manager to join our Court Work Team in the Brentwood office, focusing on insolvency casework and leadership of assignments.

You will manage portfolios of insolvency cases, mentor junior colleagues, liaise with directors and creditors, and ensure compliance with statutory deadlines while delivering high-quality reports.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge of UK insolvency legislation and procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and insolvency case management systems (e.g. IPS)

  • Oversee asset realisation strategies and monitor fee drawdowns

Role overview

FRP Advisory is seeking a proactive and technically proficientAssistant Managerto join our Court Work Team in the Brentwood office. This role is suited to someone with a strong foundation in insolvency casework and the ability to lead assignments, manage stakeholders, and mentor junior colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage a portfolio of insolvency cases including bankruptcies, complex individual voluntary arrangements, compulsory liquidations and creditor voluntary liquidations.
  • Draft high-quality reports and statutory documents in line with insolvency legislation, and correspondence
  • Ensure compliance with statutory deadlines and regulatory requirements
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, reviewing work and providing feedback
  • Be able to work in a team, delegating both upwards and downwards depending on the task
  • Ability to understand, explain and produce various insolvency financial statements
  • Be able to train others as well as showing a good understanding of technical matters
  • Liaise with stakeholders including directors, creditors, legal advisors, and regulatory bodies
  • Oversee asset realisation strategies and ensure recoveries are maximised
  • Monitor fee drawdowns and ensure alignment with creditor resolutions
  • Contribute to internal training, process improvement, and technical updates
  • Support business development initiatives and client relationship management

  • Someone who is technical and curious with good attention to detail.
  • Someone who wants to expand their knowledge on property work and investigation skills.
    • Strong technical knowledge of UK insolvency legislation and procedures
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and insolvency case management systems (e.g. IPS)
    • Ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver under pressure
    • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
