Job summary

Pizza on the Park in Bristol is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead our front of house team with energy and a people-first mindset, in a lively, seasonally inspired venue. You’ll work with the General Manager to run floor operations, bookings and guest service, mentoring the team and maintaining high standards on a 45‑hour week.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced hospitality role that offers growth, bonus opportunities and a supportive culture within a renowned Bristol restaurant group.

Qualifications

• You’re a natural host - outgoing, confident and professional under pressure
• You’re also a confident leader who believes in leading by example
• You’re able to stay calm when busy and care about guests and your team
• Experience in table service and bar experience is helpful (cocktail training a bonus)
• Familiar with booking systems (we use Collins) and supervisory roles such as supervisor, duty manager or assistant manager are ideal

The Assistant Manager role at a glance…

Hours: Full-time, 45 hours per week

Package: £13.00 per hour, plus £1,200 per annum in on-target bonuses. Based on the contracted hours, this brings the package to £30,420 - £31,620 per annum. You will also receive your share of tips on top of this package.

Shift pattern: 5 shifts per week (including weekends, mix of days and evenings)

About the Pizza on the Park Assistant Manager role:

As Assistant Manager, you’ll work closely with the General Manager, Front of House Manager your fellow Assistant Manager to make sure every customer has a memorable experience - and that our team feels supported, motivated and inspired.

Your day-to-day will include:

Running the floor as Manager on Duty, creating a welcoming and upbeat energy each shift

About you:

You’re able to keep a cool head when things get busy, and genuinely care about both your guests and your team

You’ll have experience in table service, and ideally bar experience too (perhaps even some cocktail training).

You’ll have the aptitude to get your head around a booking system (we use Collins), and may have some experience in this area

Ideally, you’ll have experience as a supervisor, duty manager, team leader or assistant manager in a bar, pub or restaurant, but if you’re an ambitious and talented front‑of‑house star ready for the next challenge, we’d love to hear from you too.
