Salary: £29,793.13 - £33,574.79 per year

Job Description

Glasgow Life is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our Sports Operations team on a part-time, permanent basis. This role involves supporting the delivery of sports and physical activity programs across Glasgow, promoting inclusion and wellbeing.

As an Assistant Manager, you will be part of a dedicated team managing Glasgow's sports venues, including pools at North Woodside, Pollok, and Easterhouse. Your responsibilities include ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining high standards of customer service, and managing staff effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting senior management in venue operations.
  2. Leading and coaching staff to achieve operational goals.
  3. Ensuring the safe operation of pool facilities and wet-side amenities.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous managerial or supervisory experience.
  • Leadership skills and experience managing staff.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Membership of the PVG scheme (or willingness to obtain).

Additional requirements include flexibility to work at various Glasgow venues, particularly on weekends, and a commitment to health and safety standards.
