Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deputise for the Store Manager in their absence.
• Manage cash handling, banking, and associated administration when the Store Manager is absent.
• Ensure all till operations are carried out in line with the Fred Perry operations manual.
• Support the Store Manager in meeting KPI budgets, communicate these to staff, and motivate them to achieve targets.
• Assist in stock control, including receipting transfers, monitoring stock levels, and stock presentation.
• Provide excellent customer service and product knowledge to customers.
• Familiarity with shop operations manual, personnel policies, and Health and Safety policies.
• Communicate KPI results and report commentary to Head Office and Area Manager in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Report any issues or non-compliance with Fred Perry policies and procedures to the Store Manager.

THE PERSON:

• Experience in retail management is essential.
• Proven ability to build effective teams and motivate employees.
• Strong initiative and leadership skills.
• Understanding of retail concepts such as gross margin, markdowns, and visual merchandising.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and respond positively to business needs.
