Job summary

Michael Page Finance, on behalf of an accountancy practice in Truro, invites applications for an Assistant Manager role. The successful candidate will oversee year-end accounts, tax and wider services for sole traders, partnerships and SME/OMB clients with hands-on delivery and team oversight.

You will manage a small portfolio, mentor staff, and drive advisory work while progressing with the firm’s partners in a clear career path. Hybrid working and flexible hours are on offer.

Qualifications

• Qualified with AAT/ACA/ACCA/CTA or equivalent.
• Experience in accountancy practice handling year-end accounts and tax.
• Experience leading and mentoring small teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited company OMBs/SMEs.
• Review year end accounts and tax compliance deliverables.
• Lead and mentor junior staff and review work.
• Build and maintain client relationships and deliver added-value advisory work.
