Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an Assistant Manager for a Truro-based accountancy practice, taking on increasing responsibility for a portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and SMEs, delivering year end accounts, tax and wider services with hands-on involvement.

You will lead a small team, mentor staff, review work, and drive advisory and planning work with a clear progression path offered within the firm, alongside hybrid working and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Background as an all-round accounts/tax practitioner in practice.
• Experience handling year end accounts and tax for various client types.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and SME clients, delivering year end accounts and tax.
• Review and mentor staff, ensuring high-quality delivery and client service.
• Lead on advisory and planning work while developing client relationships and adding value.
