Job summary

George & Dragon Mountnessing, part of Mitchells & Butlers Premium Country Pubs, is looking for an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily operations and lead the team to deliver excellent guest experiences.

You will mentor staff, ensure smooth service, and act as Duty Manager when needed, with a focus on training, performance and teamwork within a friendly pub environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality management or supervisory role.
• Strong communication and guest-service focus.
• Ability to train, motivate and develop team members.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Train and inspire the team to deliver excellent food, drink and service.
• Be a role model and guide development within the team.
• Lead the team to deliver moments that WOW guests and encourage repeat visits.
