Job Description:

We are looking to recruit an Assistant Production Manager to help lead our kitchen team. We are seeking a quality-minded individual who takes pride in their work. The role involves working with the manager, team, and wider business to fulfill our vision of:

Shifts are staggered between 6am - 6pm.

What we need from you

You will support our experienced manager in leading our production team, making a full range of sandwiches, baguettes, muffins, and pastries. Responsibilities include food safety, quality control, GP delivery, training, and personnel management. You should be a highly motivated individual with an eye for detail.

Skills:
  • Food production background.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills to inspire and discipline others.
  • Practical skills to carry out hands-on training and tasks within the kitchen.
  • Good communication skills in English, both oral and written.
  • Commercial aptitude, understanding stock management, yield, and margins.
Other background:
  • Vocational food qualification – e.g., NVQ Level 2.
  • At least 1 year supervisory/management experience in high-volume food production.
  • Proven experience managing people.
  • Food safety qualification – Level 2 or equivalent.
