Job summary

FTSE Russell is recruiting a Senior Associate to lead the Controls Framework and RCSA in the first line of defence. You will design, implement and uplift control documentation and evidence standards while partnering with Product, Operations, Engineering and Corporate Functions.

You will assess control design and ownership, support risk and process mapping, and drive continuous improvement across the control lifecycle within a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in operational risk, controls, governance or assurance within financial services.
• Good understanding of risk and control frameworks, control design and lifecycle management.
• Experience conducting control reviews, control assessments and assurance activities.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence outcomes.
• Ability to explain control concepts clearly to both specialists and non‑specialists.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of the FTSE Russell Controls Framework.
• Assist with development and maintenance of control standards, methodologies, guidance, templates and procedures.
• Promote clear, measurable, testable control documentation and ownership across FTSE Russell.
• Coordinate RCSA activities, facilitate workshops and review submissions for quality and consistency.
• Track control uplift actions and remediation progress, escalating risks where appropriate.
• Support reporting and management information for governance forums and senior management.
• Engage with stakeholders across Product, Operations, Engineering and Corporate Functions.
