Butler Rose is supporting an opportunity for an Assistant Manager - Accounting Services. The role suits an experienced Senior Accountant ready to move into management, or an existing Assistant Manager seeking to broaden leadership skills in a supportive, growing practice.

The successful candidate will manage a client portfolio, review technical work, develop junior team members and collaborate with senior leadership to deliver exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified with 5-8 years’ experience in practice.
• Experience at Senior Accountant level or equivalent.
• Proven ability to manage a client portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients including limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts per UK GAAP and FRS 102/FRS 105.
• Review bookkeeping and management accounts prepared by juniors.
• Supervise and develop junior accountants, apprentices and other staff.
• Be the primary client contact; build trusted relationships.
• Provide business advisory support and identify value opportunities.
• Ensure assignments meet budgets and deadlines.
• Collaborate with Accounting Services Manager and Partners on planning and resources.
• Contribute to process improvements and maintain high technical standards.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
