Job summary

Levi Strauss & Co. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Exeter store's growth and customer experience. You will work closely with the Store Manager to lead the team, drive sales, and ensure smooth operations.

You’ll coach staff, manage stock, payroll, and rotas, and uphold brand standards. A hands-on, commercially minded leader will thrive, delivering exceptional service and continuous improvement.

• Proven experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Track record of delivering KPIs and sales targets.
• Experience managing store operations, stock, and administrative processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in delivering sales, KPIs, and profit opportunities.
• Drive daily and weekly performance through leadership and a commercial focus.
• Monitor KPIs, run reports, and support action plans to improve results.
• Take ownership of store operations including stock, payroll, rotas, and admin.
• Lead, coach, and develop the team with training and product knowledge.
• Represent the brand on the shop floor with exceptional customer service.
• Ensure visual merchandising and store standards are consistently high.
• Take full responsibility in the Store Manager’s absence.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving the commercial success of the store. Working closely with the Store Manager, you’ll help lead the team, deliver strong results, and ensure store operations run smoothly — stepping up to take full responsibility when required.

• Supporting the Store Manager in delivering sales, KPIs, and profit opportunities
• Driving daily and weekly performance through clear targets, floor leadership, and commercial focus
• Monitoring KPIs and team performance, running reports, and supporting action plans to improve results
• Taking ownership of store operations including stock management, payroll, rotas, and administrative tasks
• Leading, coaching, and developing the team through training, feedback, and strong product knowledge
• Acting as a role model on the shop floor by delivering exceptional customer service and living our brand values
• Ensuring high standards of visual merchandising, brand presentation, and store standards at all times
• Taking full responsibility for the store in the Store Manager’s absence
