Job summary

RE Recruitment is helping a well-established hospitality client near Stroud to recruit an Assistant Manager for a full-time, permanent role in a busy country inn known for great food and genuine hospitality.

Responsibilities include supporting the General Manager, leading shifts, coaching staff, and ensuring guest experiences are outstanding. The position offers a 40-hour week (Wed-Sun), a salary of £30,000–£35,000 plus Tronc, and benefits including 28 days holiday and staff dining.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a busy pub, restaurant or similar hospitality environment.
• Confidence leading, motivating and supporting a team during busy services.
• Passion for fresh food, drinks and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• High standards and strong attention to detail; able to resolve guest issues professionally.
• Positive, hands-on approach with ability to lead from the front.
• WSET and Allergens Awareness qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager with day-to-day restaurant and bar operations.
• Lead shifts and maintain excellent service standards during busy services.

Our client, a well-established and highly regarded business within the hospitality industry, based near Stroud, has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful Assistant Manager should have:

• Previous experience within a busy pub, restaurant or similar hospitality environment
• Confidence leading, motivating and supporting a team during busy services
• A genuine passion for fresh food, drinks and delivering exceptional guest experiences
• High standards, strong attention to detail and the ability to resolve guest issues professionally
• A positive, hands-on approach with the ability to think on their feet and lead from the front
• WSET and Allergens Awareness qualifications would be desirable, although not essential, as training can be provided.

In this role, the Assistant Manager will be responsible for:

• Supporting the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the restaurant and bar
• Leading shifts and maintaining excellent service standards throughout busy services
• Coaching, motivating and developing the team to create a positive, high-performing environment
• Taking ownership of guest experience and confidently resolving any issues that arise
• Ensuring consistently high standards of cleanliness, presentation and overall operation

Our client is offering the successful Assistant Manager a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience, plus Tronc, together with:

• 40-hour working week, Wednesday to Sunday
