Reporting to the General Manager, the Assistant Manager will be responsible for overseeing club operations and guaranteeing a positive member experience while ensuring the financial stability of the club. This position plays a critical role in managing our team dynamic to maintain a high-energy atmosphere inside the Judgement Free Zone.

Skills Required

  • Customer Service: Communicates and interacts with members (and potential members) in a way that exceeds expectations.
  • Listening: Listens to staff and members, viewing situations from everyone's perspective to work together in resolving issues.
  • Problem Solving: Recognizes and defines problems, providing solutions using all available resources.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides operational support to the General Manager through team development and analysis of key business metrics that drive profit.
  • Exhibits flexibility with your schedule, willing to change if coverage is needed.
  • Monitors staff to ensure each employee provides “+1 service” and seeks opportunities to assist with difficulties or concerns.
  • Greets members and facilitates club tours at the highest level to drive business and lead by example.
  • Responds promptly, professionally, and solution-oriented to member service submissions.
  • Ensures proper opening and closing of the club.
  • Ensures your team’s knowledge of critical information (e.g., marketing promotions, initiatives, policies).
  • Assists with scheduling to meet payroll hours.
  • Cleans gym and equipment daily, teaching staff proper checking and cleaning procedures for high inspection standards.
  • Maintains pride in the gym’s appearance, fostering team ownership to achieve optimal results.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to stand for long periods.
  • Some bending, kneeling, twisting, or reaching required.
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull at least 50 pounds.
