Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting an experienced Assistant Manager for One Retail to oversee catering and service operations on a full-time basis. The role involves ensuring kitchens and service counters run smoothly and delivering exceptional food experiences, with leadership across a multi-site operation.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar role, be passionate about customer service, and able to manage inventories and team performance while upholding brand standards.

• Experience in a similar managing role within a catering/foodservice environment.
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate a diverse team.
• Aptitude for overseeing inventories, budgets and action plans.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between the team and manager to exceed expectations.
• Motivate the team to stay on task and deliver great service.
• Assist with inventories, monitor budgets and implement action plans.
• Manage tills and processing of payments.
• Support and train teams, lead from the front to ensure excellence.
• Assist with paperwork as required.

We''re recruiting an experienced Assistant Manager who is passionate about exceptional food and world-class customer service, and who can confidently oversee all Compass Group UK&I catering and service operations for a major High Street brand on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.

As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring our kitchens and service counters run smoothly and helping to deliver truly incredible food experiences. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Liaising between the team and manager to ensure we continually exceed expectations
• Motivating the team to keep everyone on task
• Assisting the manager with managing inventories, monitoring budgets and implementing action plans
• Managing the tills and processing payments
• Supporting and training our teams, leading from the front to make sure everyone can excel in their role
• Assisting with paperwork when required
• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image
