Job summary

The Old Station Nursery Group is hiring an Assistant Nursery Manager for a on-site role in Birmingham. You will lead a dedicated nursery team, ensure high-quality early years education, and support the Senior Nursery Manager across operations.

A Level 3 Early Years qualification is required, and sponsorship is not available. Role includes overseeing inspections, safeguarding, and building strong partnerships with families while championing continuous improvement and exceptional care for every

Responsibilities

  • Lead inspections and be accountable for the nurseries' compliance and smooth operation if the Senior Nursery Manager is supporting other sites.
  • Lead and mentor the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years education with pride and energy.
  • Support the Senior Nursery Manager in overseeing all aspects of nursery operations, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Act as a role model, fostering initiative, creativity, and high standards of care.
  • Build strong partnerships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to promote collaboration and outcomes for children.
  • Monitor and guide the team’s implementation of the EYFS framework to ensure nurturing learning opportunities.
  • Take responsibility for the nursery in the Senior Nursery Manager’s absence, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and provide constructive feedback for development.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that respects every child’s needs.

Pay:£34,320 - £34.32 per Annum, £16 per hour


Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 8.25 hours per day, with 45 min lunch 41.25 hour weekly contract


Location: Ashbrook Drive, Rednal, Rubery, Birmingham, West Midlands, B45 9FP

About Our Nursery

My First Friends Rubery nursery prides itself on its large spaces and stimulating environment and beautiful outdoor space. Rubery is situated on Park Way, on Great Park opposite Brewers Fayre and Nuffield Health. Entry to the nursery is off Ashbrook Drive and there is ample parking available.
