The Gordon Arms in Bedford is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily operations, ensuring top hospitality standards.

You will lead and train a team, drive sales, maintain front-of-house excellence in food, drink and service, and ensure compliance with safety and licensing requirements.

Position

Your role as Assistant Manager:

• Supporting the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the site in accordance with established company standards, policies and procedures
• Motivating and inspiring your team through a genuine passion for hospitality
• Ongoing training and development of the team
• Driving sales by maintaining excellent standards and exceeding customer expectations
• Maintain front of house standards and drive excellence in food, hotel, service and drink quality
• Adhere to all legislative requirements for people, safety, and licensing
• Conduct regular stock counts and compare to usage reports including waste records to identify opportunities for tighter control
