Job summary

HR GO Recruitment is assisting a Denbigh-based manufacturing business in recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant. You will join the finance team to help prepare monthly management accounts, support financial reporting, payroll, and month-end processes to ensure accurate information for business decisions.

The ideal candidate is AAT qualified or studying toward AAT/ACCA/CIMA, with experience in management accounts, stock reconciliations, and fixed asset registers.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified or currently studying towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA or similar accounting qualification.
• Previous experience assisting with management accounts.
• Experience with stock reconciliations and fixed asset registers.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and organisational skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
• Confident communicator with ability to build effective working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Produce accurate financial reports and reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Complete monthly and annual stock reconciliations, investigating any variances.
• Assist with payroll, PAYE reconciliations, pension administration and auto-enrolment.
• Support the preparation and submission of monthly VAT returns.
• Maintain accurate financial records and asset registers.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes and controls.
• Work closely with colleagues across the business to provide financial support where required.
