Job summary

Morgan McKinley is partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit a permanent Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team in Milton Keynes. You will support month-end processes, financial reporting, and audit requirements while driving continuous improvement in controls.

Ideal candidates will be AAT qualified or studying ACCA/CIMA, with at least three years in finance, UK VAT knowledge, and experience with SAP or ERP systems.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified or currently studying towards ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent accounting qualification.
• Minimum of three years' experience within a finance role, including month-end and management accounting activities.
• Experience preparing VAT returns with a good understanding of UK VAT.
• Experience with SAP or ERP/accounting systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations and maintain accuracy of records.
• Assist with month-end close activities, posting journals and preparing accruals/prepayments.
• Produce and distribute internal management reports and support external audits.
• Prepare VAT returns for review and assist with year-end reporting processes.
• Support fleet administration and wider finance team as required.
