Job summary

Axon Moore Group Ltd is recruiting an Assistant Accountant in Wakefield for a role that blends transactional finance with management accounting exposure. The successful candidate will work within an established finance team to broaden experience and take on more responsibility over time.

You will ideally be AAT qualified or studying, with experience in reconciliations, journals and month-end processes, plus a willingness to develop towards ACCA/CIMA.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified with experience in a varied finance or accounts position.
• Good understanding of reconciliations, journals and month-end processes.
• Exposure to management accounts or broader finance work is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly management accounts preparation.
• Complete balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Support month-end processes and reporting cycles.
• Assist with purchase and sales ledgers and general ledger maintenance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
