Job summary

Pure Resourcing Solutions is seeking an experienced Assistant Management Accountant for an office-based, permanent role. You will focus on the purchase ledger while gaining exposure to month-end management accounting activities within a growing finance team.

Working closely with the Finance Controller and Management Accountant, you will assist with reconciliations, reporting, accruals, and processing of supplier invoices and payments.

Qualifications

• Previous Purchase Ledger experience is essential.
• Experience of supplier statement reconciliations and payment runs.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Good Excel and accounting system knowledge.
• A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop.

Responsibilities

• Processing invoices, credit notes, and other financial documents accurately and within agreed timescales.
• Maintaining and updating financial records and ensuring documentation is complete and correctly filed.
• Supporting the administration and monitoring of purchasing and supplier processes.
• Managing shared finance inboxes and responding to queries in a timely manner.
• Liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve queries and maintain effective working relationships.
• Reconciling accounts and investigating any discrepancies or outstanding items.
• Assisting with the processing and reconciliation of company expenses and payment methods.
• Preparing and processing regular payment runs in line with company procedures.
• Supporting month-end and year-end finance activities as required.
• Assisting with ledger maintenance and ensuring transactions are recorded accurately.
• Supporting bank reconciliations and financial reporting processes.
• Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and other account reviews.
• Providing general administrative support to the finance team.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and helping to streamline finance processes.
• Undertaking ad hoc finance and administrative duties as required
