Job summary

Dawsongroup's TCS division in Sutton-in-Ashfield is looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to support month-end, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting. You will work closely with the Management Accountant and operational stakeholders to turn financial information into actionable insights that inform business decisions.

You\'ll contribute to journals, reconciliations, variance analysis and cashflow forecasting, while seeking improvements in processes and system usage.

Qualifications

• Experience of management accounting and month end processes with accuracy.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to interpret financial information.
• Confident in explaining financial information to colleagues outside finance.
• Self-motivated, with curiosity to improve processes.
• Able to manage priorities and build cross-functional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Support month end and year end processes, including journals, accruals and reconciliations.
• Assist with variance analysis, financial commentary and stock control.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, capex, WIP and cashflow forecasting.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and translate financial data into actionable insights.
• Support improvements in system usage and customer service across the team.
