Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Northampton is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join a small finance team. You will produce management accounts, perform variance analysis, and support budgeting and forecasting in a hybrid, mostly office-based role.

The role requires part-qualified accounting experience, strong organisational skills, and the ability to communicate with stakeholders across the business. Salary up to £35,000 with generous leave and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience producing monthly management accounts and accounting packs.
• Experience with variance analysis to support decision-making.
• Part qualified in accounting or finance studies.
• Strong stakeholder communication and planning skills.
• Highly organised with ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly Support Function Management Accounts with variance analysis.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with insightful analysis.
• Provide overhead expenditure insights for reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement in finance processes.
