Job summary

CY Executive Resourcing is supporting a well-established manufacturing business in finding an Assistant Management Accountant. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement with three days in the office and study support to progress ACCA/CIMA qualifications.

You will partner with the Finance Manager, Finance Director and operations to turn financial data into meaningful insight that informs performance and decisions, with exposure to both finance and production teams.

Qualifications

• AAT qualification or a relevant degree.
• Plans to study ACCA or CIMA.
• Manufacturing finance experience.
• Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills.
• Experience using accounting and finance systems.
• Knowledge of reporting tools such as Power BI or AWS QuickSight.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Team player with proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Partner with managers to interpret financial performance and guide decisions.
• Assist with budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure stock accounting accuracy with factory teams.
• Support reporting on efficiency, productivity, and output.
• Develop and improve reports in production and accounting systems.
• Assist with project work and analyze factory costs.
• Work with Commercial and Operations on product costing and pricing.
• Assist monthly management accounts: journals, accruals, prepayments, variance analysis.
• Contribute to a collaborative finance team.
