Job summary

Kenneth Brian Associates are partnering with a successful and growing business in Camberley to recruit an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team.

You will take ownership of a broad range of accounting duties including monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, purchase and sales ledgers, budgeting and reporting, and year-end audit support. This role offers opportunities to progress towards professional qualifications.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant/Assistant Management Accountant
• Progressing towards AAT/ACCA/CIMA
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Proficient MS Excel skills
• High level of accuracy, organisation, and problem-solving ability
• Confident communicator and team player
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, office-based environment

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts
• Support with balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings
• Maintain accurate financial records including purchase ledger and sales ledger processing
• Assist with budgeting, reporting and analysis as required
• Manage bank reconciliations and cashflow monitoring
• Support year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial procedures
• Contribute to improvements in accounting processes and efficiencies
