Assistant Management Accountant – Watford (Full-Time, Permanent)

Location: Watford Office

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (Flexible start/finish: 08:30 - 17:30 or 09:00 - 18:00)

The Role

As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a key role in financial reporting and analysis, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strategic insight. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage high volumes of work within tight deadlines, and enjoys making a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Financial Controller in preparing and presenting monthly management accounts to the CFO.
• Manage the balance sheet and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Provide clear insights and justifications for monthly financial results.
• Maintain and enhance financial systems and processes, driving continuous improvement.
• Partner with regional managers and operations teams to resolve financial queries.
• Support the annual audit process and assist with change and simplification projects.
• Handle additional finance duties as required.

• Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent).
• Technical Skills: Strong financial knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with finance systems.
• Experience: Background in change management is a plus.
