Qualifications

  • AAT qualified or currently training as an accountant.
  • Strong understanding of balance sheets and income statements.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare management accounts and draft accounts for tax purposes.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and VAT accounting.
  • Handle usual tasks of an Assistant Management Accountant.

Role Purpose/Objective

The Assistant Management Accountant plays a key role within the Finance Team, supporting the Group’s core accounting activities and contributing to the financial management of various associated entities, including property portfolios and pension schemes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of management accounts
  • Supporting the production of draft accounts for tax and other advisory purposes
  • Performing bank reconciliations and VAT accounting
  • Other usual Assistant Management Accountant responsibilities

Experience / Skills

  • AAT or trainee accountant
  • Accurate transaction processing skills and understanding of balance sheets and income statements
  • Good IT skills - MS Excel and Dynamics Nav; support is available
