Assistant Management Accountant

Location: Permanent - Appleton Thorn

About Our Client

This is a £2 million turnover business, with plans to increase revenue by 10% over the next 12 to 18 months through new contracts signed this summer. The role will be part of the Management Accountant team, reporting to the senior MA, within a wider finance team offering opportunities for progression.

Job Description

1. Preparation and submission of VAT and RCT returns
2. Ensuring timely payment of all taxation
3. Bank postings and reconciliation
4. Preparation of creditor payment files for approval
5. Posting of monthly journals
6. Monthly valuation of stocktakes
7. Preparation of draft Management Accounts for review
8. Review of control and balance sheet accounts
9. Maintenance of accounting software as required

The Successful Applicant

• Ability to work collaboratively and take direction accurately
• Proven problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel
• Strong organizational skills
• Trustworthy and discreet with confidential information
• Ability to meet deadlines
