The Role
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the financial operations of the business. Reporting directly to our experienced and commercially focused Finance Director, you'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of financial processes. Your responsibilities will include:
• Processing purchase invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Completing payroll and ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Performing regular bank reconciliations.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintaining the fixed asset register and posting depreciation.
• Conducting variance analysis and budget reporting.
• Assisting in the production of management accounts with guidance and support from the Finance Director.
Requirements
To thrive in this role, you should have:
• A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or an AAT qualification (or be actively studying toward becoming a Chartered Accountant).
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency in financial systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (desirable but not essential).
• A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively in a growing team and adapt to evolving business needs.
