Qualifications

  • Accurate P&L report production and strong Balance Sheet understanding required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple accounts beneficial.
  • Experience in an existing accountancy role, ideally in an SME.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate management accounts monthly for review.
  • Conduct Profit & Loss report analysis and correct coding errors.
  • Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations and assist with VAT returns.

Having grown rapidly both insupporting our PCNs and in the clinical services we provide we are looking togrow our finance team. This role brings the opportunity to work autonomouslybut with support and development from our Senior Management Accountants andManagement Accountants and utilising our book keep team.

This job description is an outline of the tasks, responsibilities andoutcomes required of the role. The job holder will carry out any other dutiesas may reasonably be required by their line manager.

Hours of work: Part time orFull time considered 15 to 37.5 hours per week

Base: ABC HQ based in Horley, Surrey however we support remote flexibleworking and can provide everything needed for predominantly home working

Main duties of the job
  • Accruals, deferred income and prepayments
  • Assisting with the production of the P&L
  • Assisting with Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Inter-company reconciliation and analysis
  • Payroll journals and Pension Analysis

Job responsibilities
  • To take on the full responsibility of completing all tasks needed toprepare accurate and timely management accounts, on a monthly basis,to a high standard for the Senior Management Accountant to review
  • Profit & Loss report analysis including correction of coding andreconciliation errors in preparation for Senior Management Accountant to review
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations and variance analysis,including payroll journals
  • Analysis and review of inter-company movement in the month
  • Assisting with VAT return
  • Assisting with other accounting tasks, as assigned by the SeniorManagement Accountant
  • ARRs claims submissions on a monthly basis

Person Specification
Experience
  • Must working in an existing accountancy role, ideally in a SME
  • Ability to produce accurate P&L reports
  • Strong understanding of Balance Sheet schedules, including salary journals, prepayment, accrual and TFA
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Experience of managing multiple company accounts would be advantageous
Qualifications
  • A recognised UK accountancy qualification (CIMA, AAT Level 4, ACA, ACCA)
  • Part qualified of CIMA, ACA or ACCA considered
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proven knowledge of management account reporting
  • Excellent working knowledge on Xero and Excel - v-lookups, pivots, SumIfs
  • Excellent analytical and numeracy skills
  • Strong communication / Interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
