Assistant Management Accountant

Hemel Hempstead - Office Based

Up to £32,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register accurately.
• Support weekly and monthly payment runs related to capital asset purchases.
• Reconcile bank transactions and supplier statements, resolving any discrepancies.
• Raise invoices for asset disposals and confirm payment receipts through bank postings.
• Prepare fixed asset documentation to support external audit processes.
• Monitor capital expenditure to ensure accurate asset classification.
• Assist with physical asset verification and internal audits.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Contribute to variance analysis by comparing actuals against budgets and forecasts.
• Reconcile purchase orders and delivery records, and compile asset sale/export summaries.
• Collaborate across departments to gather financial data for reporting.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and support wider finance initiatives.

Key Attributes:

• Part Qualified- Studying towards a professional qualification.
• Good understanding of fixed asset accounting principles.
• Experience working with - SAP, Oracle, NetSuite
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and advanced functions).

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for cross-functional teamwork.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work efficiently.
