Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Housing Association, who are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their team in Hampshire.

Position: Assistant Management Accountant
Rate: £35,000 - £37,000
Location: Hampshire (Remote with occasional office travel)
Work Type: Permanent (6 month fixed-term)

JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

• Assist with production of annual statutory accounts and monthly management accounts as well as budgets and forecasts.
• Support in the preparation of financial reports for budget holders and other stakeholders.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Journal processing, ensuring the correct accounting of accruals and payments.
• Identify opportunities for improvements and mention these when reporting.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• Studying towards professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA preferred).
• Relevant experience such as management accounting, budgeting, working as part of a financial reporting team.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft, particularly Word and Excel.
• Able to meet deadlines under pressure.
