Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in finance.

  • Desire to study professional accountancy qualifications like CIMA or ACCA.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare month-end reconciliations and draft management accounts.
  • Complete weekly cashbook and bank reconciliations.
  • Produce and communicate weekly reports to staff.

Job description

We have an opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our team within Vistry Cotswolds, at our Bishops Cleeve office in Cheltenham. As our Assistant Management Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the Finance team and updating the core financial systems, which are COINS, Anaplan, and Microsoft Excel. This is a great opportunity to join a successful business and continue your career in Accountancy and Finance.

The Finance team currently consists of a Finance Director, Head of Finance, Finance Manager, and Management Accountant.   • AAT qualified or at least 1 year of relevant work experience in a financial role

  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working in an office environment communicating with many different departments

  • Preparing month-end reconciliations and management accounts to a draft position
  • Completing the Cashbook and bank reconciliation on a weekly basis
  • Producing and communicating weekly reports to relevant staff members
  • Attending weekly progress meetings to update expected legal completion dates
  • Liaising with solicitors and the sales team to approve completion statements and ad hoc requests
  • Inputting journals as required and carrying out cost investigations as requested
  • Raising Accounts Receivable invoices as required
  • Supporting the collation of Audit data requirements
  • Regular chasing and reporting of outstanding sundry debtors
  • Monthly Sales and Marketing cost reviews
  • Ad hoc reporting and generation of information to support other departments
  • Assisting with the production of budgets and forecasts as required
