We are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join a rapidly growing business based in Blackpool. The ideal candidate is proactive, enthusiastic, and a team player with previous accounting experience to support the dynamic finance team. The company has an impressive client base across various sectors.

In this role, you will work closely with the Financial Controller and Management Accountant to prepare Management Accounts, Bank Reconciliations, and Intercompany Accounting. This position is suitable for an ambitious individual eager to progress within finance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily bank postings and reconciliations, and perform full month-end reconciliations
  • Own the Fixed Asset Register and process monthly depreciation journals
  • Assist in preparing monthly management accounts alongside the Management Accountant and Financial Controller
  • Support month-end tasks such as accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
  • Contribute to customer sales and cost of sales analysis during month-end
  • Handle petty cash postings and reconciliations
Required Skills and Experience
  • Working towards ACCA or CIMA qualification; AAT qualification at minimum
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with Oracle Netsuite is desirable
  • At least 2 years of experience in a finance role
  • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize, stay organized, and meet deadlines
