What will I be doing?

As an Assistant Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for all maintenance issues within the hotel, including daily checks and repairing mechanical equipment to ensure an excellent Guest and Member experience. You will coordinate renovation projects and develop emergency programs. Your responsibilities include:

  • Perform daily checks around the hotel
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Respond to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing emergencies
  • Liaise with and direct on-site contractors
  • Build good relationships with internal and external customers
  • Maintain hotel fixtures and fittings in safe condition
  • Manage a small team to ensure high standards
  • Develop and implement emergency and energy conservation programs
  • Manage departmental budgets
  • Oversee renovation projects, including bidding, scope definition, and contractor supervision
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
  • Ensure health and safety compliance, including safety inspections and training
What are we looking for?

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills
  • Knowledge of ventilation systems/HVAC, BMS, fire safety, and legionella controls
  • Experience in project planning and coordination
  • People management skills
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Customer service commitment
  • Excellent grooming standards
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
  • Self-motivation and previous management experience

Preferred qualifications include vocational training in engineering, hotel industry experience, and First Aid certification.
