What will I be doing?

As an Assistant Maintenance Manager, you will oversee all maintenance issues within the hotel, conduct daily maintenance checks, and repair mechanical equipment to ensure an excellent Guest and Member experience. You will also coordinate renovation projects and develop emergency response programs. Your responsibilities include:

  • Perform daily checks around the hotel
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Respond to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing emergencies
  • Coordinate with on-site contractors
  • Build good relationships with internal and external customers
  • Maintain hotel fixtures and fittings, ensuring safety and addressing unsafe conditions
  • Manage a small team to ensure high standards
  • Develop and implement emergency and energy conservation programs
  • Coordinate renovation projects, including bidding, scope definition, and overseeing contractors
  • Perform special projects and other assigned responsibilities
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met, including safety inspections and staff training

What are we looking for?

An Assistant Maintenance Manager at Hilton embodies our commitment to guests and colleagues. To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills
  • Knowledge of ventilation systems/HVAC, BMS, fire safety, and legionella controls
  • Experience in project planning and coordination
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • High-level customer service skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to various work situations
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently
  • Previous management experience

It is advantageous if you also have:

  • Vocational training in engineering or a related field
  • Previous experience in the hotel industry
