Job summary

AVA Energy is seeking an Assistant/Associate Legal Counsel to support its UK business in the renewable energy sector, focusing on BESS and Wind markets.

Ideal candidates will have 3–4 years in legal roles (in-house or private practice), with a background in renewable energy and experience with EPC contracts, PPA and O&M agreements. The role involves advising on wind turbine supply contracts, BESS agreements, regulatory compliance, HR matters and procurement, in a broad, hands-on function.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–4 years of legal experience (In House/PP)
• Background in Renewable Energy (ideally BESS or Wind)
• Experience across EPC contracts, PPA and O&M agreements
• Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment

Responsibilities

• Support HR matters and procurement from a legal perspective
• Help shape the operation of the legal function in a broad, hands-on capacity

At least 3-4 Years experience in Legal roles (In House/PP)

Background in Renewable Energy (Ideally BESS or Wind)

Experienced across EPC Contracts, PPA and O&M Agreements

Ability to demonstrate agile thinking & adapt to a fast paced entrepreneurial environment.

Able to advise on everything from wind turbine supply contracts and BESS agreements to regulatory compliance, HR matters and procurement. This is a broad, hands‑on role with real scope to shape how the legal function operates.
