Job Description:

An Assistant/ Intermediate Quantity Surveyor is required to join a Principal Civil Engineering contractor working on projects in the South West of England. The company operates across various sectors including Highways, Industrial, Commercial, Bridges, Flood Defence, and Car Parks, supporting prestigious projects across the UK.

The successful candidate will support the Managing QS and Commercial team with all costing aspects of Civil Engineering projects. Essential experience includes:

• Proactive and independent work ethic with strong communication skills
• Experience in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
• Experience with NEC3 / JCT / ICC Contracts
• Assisting in the preparation and presentation of monthly commercial performance reports
• Building strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors
• Quantity surveying tasks such as works valuations, estimating, subcontract procurement, negotiation, management, change and claims management, cost control, value management, and commercial reporting
• Final accounting, cost forecasting, and expenditure profiling
• Dispute resolution skills
