Are you passionate about design and keen to build an innovative portfolio? Benoy’s London Studio is seeking creative Assistant Interior Designers who are keen to contribute to a variety of projects across a range of sectors, including retail and mixed-use.
As an integral part of our dynamic design team, you will deliver interior design solutions.

What We Are Looking For
- You are proficient in computer applications such as Revit and Rhino.
- Degree in Interior Design or Architecture or Design related discipline.
- Experience working on Concept, Schematic and/or Detailed stage in Interior Design projects.
- Experience of large format environments would be beneficial.
- Creative thinker with sketching skills.
- Ability to create a concept, from a brief (under direction where required).
- Ability to think through design problems and outstanding attention to detail.
- Demonstrate a basic knowledge of materials and their application.
- Good communication and organisational skills with the ability to communicate with suppliers.
- Team player with collaborative work ethic. Proactive and conscientious.
- Keen to learn and develop skills and a genuine interest in design.

Key Responsibilities
Design/Technical expertise:
- Delivers high quality design work in line with brief set, sharing their creative and innovative thinking throughout the project.
- Actively seeks inspiration and reference from sources outside of the business to support creative design solutions.
- Sources reference and carries out research to illustrate a design direction to the clients, working with architects and graphic designers in the project team.
- Produces basic concept work using hand sketches or variety of digital and traditional media to a high standard.
- Produces (under supervision) drawing packages for Schematic and Detail Stages.
- Sources reference material and carries out research to ensure that materials and products are fit for purpose.
- Produces, under supervision, furniture and finishes schedules.
Project Management
- Assists with recording design team or site meetings either by minutes, letters, emails or file notes.
- Assists in assembling presentations using a variety of digital and traditional media, particularly Adobe InDesign.
- Takes responsibility for some basic project communication, including liaising with contractors, design & construction team and written communications.
Team Membership
- Acts as a team player, responding positively to feedback and demonstrating a positive attitude towards work and team activities.
- Supports company-wide initiatives.
Client Relationships
- Builds knowledge of markets, our clients and their competitors.
- Responds positively towards clients and consultants.
- Provides support.
