Penguin Recruitment Ltd in Leeds is seeking an Assistant Hydraulic Modeller to join a growing water and wastewater engineering team. You will develop computer-based hydraulic models to investigate wastewater network issues and support engineering solutions.

This permanent role offers hybrid working, comprehensive training, generous annual leave and opportunities for professional progression as you contribute to sustainable water infrastructure projects.

Formación

• Degree or qualification in Civil Engineering, Geography, GIS, Environmental Science or related.
• Interest in water, wastewater or drainage engineering.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willing to learn modelling software with training provided.
• Eligible to work in the UK and live within commuting distance to Leeds.

Responsabilidades

• Develop computer-based hydraulic models to investigate wastewater network issues.
• Analyse data to identify flooding risks and potential improvements.
• Support the development of engineering solutions and infrastructure plans.
• Assist with feasibility studies and technical investigations.
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
• Work alongside engineers, clients, and other industry professionals.
• Contribute to sustainable water and environmental improvement projects.

Location: Leeds

Salary: £27,000 – £32,000 per annum

The Role of an Assistant Hydraulic Modeller

Requirements

• A degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Geography, GIS, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• An interest in water, wastewater or drainage engineering.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of InfoWorks ICM, GIS or similar modelling software would be advantageous but is not essential, as training is provided.
• A motivated Assistant Hydraulic Modeller keen to learn and develop within the industry.
• The full right to work in the UK
• A full UK driving licence
• Live within a commutable distance to the Leeds office
