Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant HR Partner to support the HR Partner in delivering high-quality, dedicated HR services across the Faculty of Engineering.

The role involves working within a faculty-facing team committed to providing a flexible, proactive, innovative, customer-focused, and excellent HR service. You will leverage your HR expertise to advise, influence, and manage complex people-related challenges.

Ideal candidates will be proactive self-starters with excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of explaining decisions clearly and handling difficult situations professionally.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Proactively partner with managers, providing advice and solutions on employee issues such as sickness absence, performance, capability, and probation.
  2. Advise on complex personal issues, ensuring compliance with HR policies, statutory, and legislative requirements, with support from HR colleagues as needed.
  3. Apply HR knowledge in generalist or specialist areas, including employment law, case management, and organizational change.
  4. Maintain knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
  5. Analyze problems, identify root causes, and develop solutions.
  6. Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, conveying information clearly, sensitively, and assertively.
