Job Description:

We're looking for an Assistant HR Business Partner to join our Transportation team based in Glastonbury. This role supports staff across our maintenance works contract supporting Somerset County Council's road network. Benefits include a matched pension scheme, 24/7 virtual GP service, competitive holiday entitlement, and opportunities to buy/sell leave.

Join us at Kier Transportation, where we work together to support transportation links by land, sea, or air.

Location: Glastonbury, Somerset – hybrid working with occasional travel

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility available

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with line managers to resolve issues and implement good people management practices
  • Support grievance and disciplinary processes, including investigations and liaising with HR teams
  • Assist with business projects, restructures, TUPE transfers, and change management
  • Communicate HR activities and processes to managers and staff

Requirements:

  • CIPD qualification or equivalent HR experience
  • Knowledge of TUPE
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
