Job Description:

We're looking for an Assistant HR Business Partner to join our Transportation team based in Glastonbury. This role supports staff across our maintenance works contract supporting Somerset County Council's road network. Benefits include a matched pension scheme, 24/7 virtual GP service, competitive holiday entitlement, and more.

Location: Glastonbury, Somerset – hybrid working with occasional travel

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, with flexible options available

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with line managers to resolve issues and implement good HR practices
  • Support formal grievances and disciplinary procedures, liaising with HR teams
  • Assist with projects, restructures, TUPE transfers, and change management
  • Communicate HR activities and processes to staff and managers
Qualifications:
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience with TUPE
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
