Qualifications

• CIPD qualification or equivalent HR experience.
• Experience as HR Advisor or HR Generalist.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations and UK employment law.

About the Role

As an Assistant HR Business Partner, you will support the delivery of the people strategy across a range of corporate and operational functions. Working closely with managers and stakeholders, you will provide professional HR guidance, support organisational change, and help create an engaging and high-performing workplace culture.

This role is suited to someone who enjoys building relationships, understanding how businesses operate, and influencing people decisions. You'll spend time developing an understanding of the wider organisation, working closely with stakeholders across the UK and collaborating with colleagues across the broader European HR community.

Regular travel to sites across the UK will be required, giving you valuable exposure to operational teams and helping you develop a strong understanding of the workforce and business challenges.

How You Will Contribute

• Partner with managers and leaders to deliver HR initiatives that support business objectives.
• Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance management cases.
• Support talent, succession, and workforce planning activities across the business.
• Coach and advise managers on people-related matters and employment best practice.
• Assist with organisational change projects and business transformation initiatives.
• Analyse and report on people data to support informed decision-making.
• Support employee engagement activities and help drive a positive workplace culture.
• Collaborate with the wider HR team to implement policies, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build effective relationships with stakeholders across multiple business functions and locations.
• Develop a strong understanding of operational and commercial priorities, ensuring people considerations are reflected in business decision-making.

What You Will Bring

• CIPD qualification, or equivalent HR experience.
• Previous experience in an HR Advisor, HR Generalist, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations and UK employment legislation.
• Experience partnering with managers and providing practical, people-focused solutions.
• Exposure to organisational change, talent management, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Ability to interpret HR data and provide meaningful insights.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to build credibility and influence at different levels of the organisation.
• A proactive and naturally collaborative approach, with the ability to build relationships beyond your immediate area and work effectively across teams and functions.
• Commercial curiosity and a genuine interest in understanding how the business operates and the impact people decisions have on performance.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the UK.
• Experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
