Job summary

Grenvillehouse is seeking an Assistant Housekeeper – Cleaner/Cook to join our busy Centre’s housekeeping team. The role covers catering and cleaning duties with a flexible, friendly approach and an early September 2026 start.

The position is based on minimum 16 hours per week across the year, with some weeks busier than others. Evening meals preparation and serving are part of the duties; some mornings may also be required.

A flexible, adaptable, fit, vibrant, caring and friendly person is needed to join our housekeeping team to assist with the catering and cleaning of our busy Centre.

To start –by early September 2026

Salary – £12.71 per hour

PreferredQualifications:

Food Safety Level 2

(A course will be organised if not already holding a current certificate.)

In addition, it is desirable but not essential to have:

Experience incatering and worked with children.

We provide residential and non-residential experiences for clients of all ages but mainly years 5 &6 primary school children. We are an all-year-round operation with a variable work pattern.The salary is based on a minimumof 16 hrs per weekacross the year. Some weeks are busier than others so in practice can rangebetween 0hrs& 30hrs depending on the level of our bookings.

A typical week will include assisting withgetting the Centre readyfor the arrival of new groups usually on Mondays and Fridays and the preparation and serving of evening meals.

The ideal candidate willneed a very flexible approach and be happy to work early evenings, some weekends and very occasionally some early mornings.
