Job summary

Travelodge Hotels Limited in Hemel Hempstead invites applications for an Assistant Hotel Manager. This role leads hotel teams with a focus on coaching, development and delivering brand standards across service areas.

You will recruit, induct and motivate staff, ensuring engaging guest experiences within a fast-paced, service-driven environment. With responsibilities spanning operations, food & beverage in Bar Cafe settings, and health & safety, you’ll drive performance and guest satisfaction

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead service teams in a hospitality environment.
• Experience in coaching staff for career growth.
• Experience recruiting and onboarding team members.
• Experience creating personal development plans for staff.
• Understanding of food & beverage service standards (Bar Cafe context) and KPI/targets.

Responsibilities

What’s it all about?

As an AssistantHotel Manager at Travelodge Hemel Hempstead Gateway, Full Time or Part Time basis, you would be responsible for leading, coaching and motivating the hotel teams.

Your role would also include:

• Working with team members to create personal development plans for their career growth
• Recruiting motivated team members and making sure they have a warm and welcoming induction
• Ensuring food is prepared and presented to brand standard (if working in a Bar Cafe hotel)
• Maximising food and beverage sales by cross and upselling (if working in a Bar Cafe hotel)
• Reviewing customer feedback to produce targeted action plans for improvement as required
• Making sure rooms and public areas are cleaned using company best practice
• Reporting and overseeing any repairs or maintenance needed
• Additional responsibilities include rota management, banking and health & safety
• driving awareness and engagement for our Team Members to earn more through our incentive schemes
