Job summary

Keyline, part of the Travis Perkins Group, is the UK's number one supplier of civils, heavy building materials and drainage solutions. We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Hire Manager to support our Hire Manager.

Based at the Branch, you will be responsible for day-to-day service to customers and supervision of Hire-based colleagues. You will be friendly and approachable with an eye for detail, and able to keep the Branch running smoothly in the absence of the Hire Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in a tool/hire or similar business is beneficial.
• Experience in a customer facing role is preferred.
• Previous supervision of a team is useful.

Responsibilities

• Based at the Branch, deliver day-to-day service to customers and supervise Hire-based colleagues.
• Support the Hire Manager to grow the business by identifying sales leads and driving performance.
• Lead and motivate staff in a safe environment and keep the Branch running smoothly in the Hire Manager's absence.

In this role, you will be based at the Branch, taking responsibility for the day to day service to customers and supervision of Hire based colleagues. You will friendly and approachable with an eye for detail, and able to keep the Branch running smoothly in the absence of the Hire Manager. You will proactively identify sales leads and support the Hire Manager to grow the business, whilst leading and motivating staff in a safe environment.

You will ideally have some experience of working in a tool/hire or similar business- we also need you to have experience of working in a customer facing role. If you have previously supervised a team then that's really useful too. You must be self motivated, driven, and able to make the most of this fantastic opportunity.
