Assistant Herdsperson

We require a keen, enthusiastic and mature person to join our team and work along-side our experienced herds people on a 500-cow organic dairy near Bawtry on the Notts / Yorks border. The farm has great infrastructure and facilities and would be a great place for someone keen to learn about grass-based dairy farming.

The role would involve milking, proactive cow health and welfare and general stock tasks working alongside the other herd’s people. You will have some background experience with livestock / machinery, but 'on-the-job' training will be given. This is a great opportunity for someone with drive and ambition to get into the dairy industry and be rewarded for their hard work.

In return we offer a competitive salary with bonus schemes and regular time off. Single person accommodation is on offer in the form of a small 1 bedroom flat, which is on the farm. There may also be a 2-bed house available if required for the correct person.
