Job summary

Uppingham Community College is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Headteacher to provide inspirational learning experiences and drive outcomes for all pupils. You will lead Personal Development Curriculum, Destinations, ACE Days, Assemblies and Work Experience; and be the SLT link to the Student Council Lead and House System Lead.

The successful candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status and a degree, with a proven track record in whole-school leadership and improvement initiatives.

Salary: Leadership 10 (£64,691)

Hours: Full-time

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday

About the Role

Uppingham Community College are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, inspiring and highly motivated Assistant Head teacher who will provide inspirational learning experiences for our pupils and be highly committed to improving outcomes for all.

Specific areas of responsibility for this role are Personal Development Curriculum, Destinations, ACE Days, Assemblies and Work Experience. In addition you will be the SLT link to our Student Council Lead and House System Lead.

Key Responsibilities
  • To deliver highly effective strategic leadership in a range of areas across UCC.
  • To support the UCC vision ‘Everyone at UCC thrives’ and deliver impact in specific aspects of the UCC Strategic Plan.
  • To line manage and develop key leaders at UCC to ensure high quality outcomes for all groups of children.
  • Be a proactive member of the SLT, contributing to school leadership, duties, operational priorities and whole-school improvement initiatives as they arise.
